Renewable Energy Alliance Elects Officers
BISMARCK – Patrice Lahlum, West Fargo, is the new chair of the North Dakota Alliance for Renewable Energy (NDARE).
“Energy production and generation from renewable sources is a growing sector of North Dakota’s economy. I look forward to working with NDARE members and others around the state to promote the advancement of renewable energy industries,” Lahlum said.
Lahlum, a consultant to the Great Plains Institute on biomass programs, was elected at the NDARE annual meeting Wednesday, in Bismarck.
Other officers include Kim Christianson, Great Plains Energy Corridor, vice chair, and Jocie Iszler, communications consultant, secretary-treasurer. Other board members include Al Christianson, Great River Energy; Mindi Grieve, Environmental Law & Policy Center; Terry Goerger, farmer; and Mike Williams, Greenfields Energy.
Kim Christianson was elected to his first 3-year term and Iszler was re-elected to a 3-year term on the board of directors.
”North Dakota is blessed with abundant and diverse energy resources, all of which contribute jobs and economic activity vital to the state’s future. I look forward to working with NDARE on issues and activities that will move our renewable energy development industry forward,” Kim Christianson said.
“NDARE provides the opportunity to a wide variety of businesses, non-profits and interested individuals to engage in the growth of this dynamic sector. Growing and diversifying our membership, especially in the area of green businesses, is an important goal for me.” Iszler said.
The North Dakota Alliance for Renewable Energy is a diverse membership-based advocacy organization that works with citizens, industry, government, interest groups, and educators to promote the development and use of renewable energy, including biofuels, biomass and wind energy, as well as the widespread adoption of smart energy efficiency and conservation practices.
